Biography:

William Owen, Jr., MD joined Feagin and Owen Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Center in 1990, where he provides the full scope of cosmetic procedures for patients in Dothan, Alabama. His patients benefit from his personal approach and willingness to talk about how they want to change their appearance and how he can help them reach their goals.

Dr. Owen received his medical degree from the University of Alabama, where he was attracted to the artistic aspect of plastic surgery. An accomplished wood carver, he found that plastic surgery allowed him to marry the highly technical and precise nature of cosmetic procedures with his innate eye for form, proportions, and aesthetics.

Dr. Owen has received board certification in general surgery, hand surgery, and plastic surgery, then was recertified in plastic surgery in 2003 and 2014. His dedication to staying up to date with the latest technology and surgical procedures is evident because he exceeds the yearly requirements for continuing medical education. Using his surgical perspective and knowledge, he seeks out the newest methods and offers only the most effective ones to his patients.

As a husband, and father of four sons, Dr. Owen is acutely aware of the demands made on your time and the unique circumstances that can impact your surgery. He works with you to be sure you're ready for a successful recovery and quick return to your active life.

Dr. Owen is active in the Dothan community and has served on the Board of Directors of the Alabama-Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was president of the council and received the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award, the council's highest honor bestowed on civilian volunteers. He has served on the vestry of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity.
