Dr. Dudley Terrell Announces Retirement

Dr. Dudley Terrell, Radiologist, well known and respected in the community, has announced his retirement after 48 years of providing quality healthcare. He is looking forward to spending more time with his family with a special emphasis on the grandchildren.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Terrell graduated from McGill Institute and Spring Hill College in 1957. After graduating from the University of Alabama Medical School, he did his internship at Fort Knox, Ky., and his residency in Radiology at Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco.

As the first full time medical specialist to join the medical staff at Dale Medical Center, he has practiced uninterrupted for the past 48 years. Dr. Terrell has enjoyed his career and has gotten great personal satisfaction from helping others. He is quick to share with new physicians moving to Ozark his love for this community and that he has had no regrets in his decision to practice here.

"Dr. Dudley Terrell, is probably one of the hardest working physicians I've had the pleasure to work beside," said Vernon Johnson, CEO. "He for the longest time was our only radiologist requiring that he read reports 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." Not only will Dr. Terrell be adjusting to his new retirement, but so will patients, staff and fellow physicians that he has so faithfully served. "Dale Medical Center and this community has been the benefactor of his 48 years of service. If anyone has earned the right to retire and enjoy life, that would be Dr. Dudley Terrell," said Vernon Johnson, CEO.
