Johnson to Lead SE Council of AlaHa


(September 2017) Vernon L,. Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Dale Medical Center in Ozark has been selected to serve as the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHa) Southeast Alabama Regional Council President.

"Vernon is one of those individuals who is always ready to serve." said Donald E. Williams, M.D., president of the Alabama Hospital Association. "He began as a respiratory, so he brings a unique perspective to our discussions from both a hospital administration and clinical background."

Johnson has been CEO of 89-bed Dale Medical Center since 2003. He has a history of service with AlaHa including past chairman of the Association's Psych workgroup and its Psychiatric Hospital Constituency Section. He is currently serving on the Federal Legislative/Regulatory Committee and has also been an active member of the Rural Community Hospital Constituency Section, Education Task Force and Image Task Force.

The AlaHa hospital councils provide a forum for hospital CEO's in the same region to discuss current issues in health care, share ideas and host educational sessions. There are seven hospital councils statewide.
