DMC Employees Recognized at Annual Awards Banquet


Dale Medical Center recently recognized 51 employees at the annual Service Awards Banquet for reaching a milestone in their years of service at Dale Medical Center. Collectively, they have served over 700 years.

The banquet was held this year at "Hoppergrass" downtown Ozark. Opening remarks were given by Vernon Johnson, CEO, recognizing and expressing appreciation to those with 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, and 35 years of service. "Tonight you are being recognized because you have shouldered your responsibilities, used your ingenuity and worked hard. Each of you deserve our congratulations on time well served. Above all you should be proud of a job well done," said Johnson. Employees and their guests were treated to a steak dinner and presented with gifts and recognition for their service. Following the awards ceremony, attendees were treated to the premiere of "Till Death Do Us Part" dinner show for their enjoyment.

Those honored for five years of service included Kristina Bacos, Lonnie Burks, Anna Flores, Heather Harbuck, Diane Harper, Dorothy Holland, Angela McBroom, Teressia McCree, Pamela McNair, Pamela Pearson, Lakeisha Smith, Luke Taylor, Joan Carter, Sonja Lucky and Lesley Woodruff.

Receiving recognition for 10 years of service were Kathy Bowman, Aretha Floyd, Luneesha Grimsley, Lois Jackson, Gussie Johnson, Caroline Knighton, Teresa Ray, Pat Watson, Karen Williams, and Barbara Woodall. Those honored for 15 years of service were Alexander Anderson, Sheila Barrow, Candace Hudnall, Jerry Johnson, Debra King, Michael Stinson, David Trimm, Karen Watson, Gina Willis, Lewis Beacham, Carolyn Honaker, and Charlie Joyner. Those honored for 20 years of service included: Lloyd Duncan, Rachelle Fordham, Samuel Gargus, Jane Harrison, Alfonso Henry, Vernon Johnson, Sandra Peters, Barbara Seals, Ilene Bloxsom, and Ginny Sexton. Those honored for 30 years of service were Shannon Gill, Glenn Wellman, and Gail Williams. And Dorothy Warren was recognized for her 35 years of service.

Special recognition was also awarded to four employees as they received the "Engaged Employee Award." An engaged employee is one that is committed to Dale Medical Center's goals and values and demonstrate the motivation required to contribute to the overall success of the organization. This year's recipients were: Sam Gargus, Radiology Director; Ilene Bloxsom, RN, Special Projects Coordinator; Gail Williams, RN, Utilization Review; and Shannon Gill, Coding.
